Key Text: Mark 2:18-3:6

In this passage of Mark, we take a look at three moments in Jesus’ ministry where He contradicts religious leaders. We see Jesus defying religious conventions concerning fasting and the Sabbath. The Pharisees are watching His every move closely as Jesus continues to break their religious system. We see how quick they are to judge and accuse Him of wrong. Yet Jesus is still grieved and heart broken over their blindness to the truth. In these three accounts, we see a continuity of truth that points us to the gospel.
