The Servant King Heals

Key Text: Mark 1:40-2:12

In the text this week, we see two different times Jesus heals. In the first part, we see how Jesus healed a leaper. He didn’t just heal the leaper, but defied social convention and touched him in healing. Jesus shows compassion in healing him and wants no credit for it. In the second part of the passage, we see Jesus healing a paralytic. Though, the healing is not Jesus’ first priority. His first priority is to forgive him of His sins. In this text, we see that the servant king heals completely and forgives freely.
